Dr. Meet Parikh is a distinguished board-certified Gastroenterologist and Obesity Medicine specialist and an esteemed member of our team at Gastroenterology Associates of Central Jersey (GACJ). He also holds an affiliation with Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. With a strong commitment to patient education and overall well-being, Dr. Parikh is dedicated to empowering his patients with the knowledge they need to optimize their digestive health.

Dr. Parikh grew up in New Jersey and is well oriented with the diverse community of this region. Throughout his clinical experiences he has treated patients from a variety of social and economic backgrounds which has helped him develop the effective communication skills that are essential to providing excellent patient centered care. Moreover, he is effective at navigating health literacy barriers with patients and is fluent in Gujarati.

Dr. Parikh received his medical education at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Drexel University/Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia followed by completing his Gastroenterology fellowship at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ.

Dr. Parikh is a strong advocate of patients undergoing important preventative health measures such as colorectal cancer screening. Dr. Parikh’s area of expertise is treating adults with a wide range of digestive illnesses, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, chronic liver disease and more.
